How to Dismiss a Mercenary (The Hidden Trash Icon)

"Can't get rid of my mercs" is one of the most common new-player questions. The dismiss function exists, but the icon is hard to spot — the developer even admitted it and promised to move it to a more visible place in a future patch.

#Exact steps to dismiss a mercenary

The developer gave the button path directly:

1. Press H to open the mercenary window.
2. Click the rhombus (diamond) icon.
3. Click the trash-can icon in the bottom-left corner.

That mercenary is dismissed. The same steps work in the reserve window — so you can clear out reserve slots to make room for new recruits.

• Party is full and you want to hire someone new.
• Reserve is full — you can't recruit into the reserve until you free a slot.
• You're rebuilding around a new strategy and want a clean roster.

One player searched so long they assumed dismissing "wasn't a feature at all." If you're stuck, the trash icon only appears after you click the rhombus icon first — that ordering is the easy thing to miss.
