How to Repair Your Cart (And Why Bonuses Stop Working)
Updated 2026-08-28
On this page
If your cart's bonus stats are all crossed out with red X marks, your cart is broken. A broken cart still drives, but it gives zero of its bonuses. Here's how to fix it — confirmed directly by the developer (AZAMATIKA).
The key mechanic: durability hits 0, then you repair
Your cart has a durability stat (shown as a number like 0/150 when you hover over it on the level). The repair button only appears after durability drops to 0 — there is no mid-wear repair.
Steps to repair:
- Open the cart menu and click on your cart to select it.
- The repair cost in resources is displayed there.
- Pay the resources to repair.
What repair costs
Resources depend on which cart you own. The most common example reported by players:
- 10 wood + 1 toolbox for the basic cart.
Different carts require different materials, so check the specific cost shown in your cart menu.
Why the developer did it this way
Per the developer: cart breakage is "not critical," so they intentionally skipped mid-wear repair. A broken cart keeps moving — you just lose the bonuses. The current build has a minor bug where a broken cart's penalties may not apply correctly; the developer says it will be fixed in a future patch because it is "not critical."
Quick diagnosis checklist
| Symptom | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Bonuses show red X on all stats | Cart is broken (durability 0) |
Hovering on the level shows 0/150 | Cart is broken |
| No repair button appears | Durability isn't 0 yet — keep playing |
Bonus: silver from road fights
One player discovered (while testing a repaired cart) that silver occasionally drops from high-difficulty road encounters — difficulty 15+ fights can yield silver pieces, though higher tiers (20+) did not for them. Worth testing if you're hunting silver.
